The pendant has a teardrop freshwater pearl capped with a handwoven natural fibre disc and a small pearl.

The necklace is handmade by artisans in Papua New Guinea. The little puffed fibre disc is made with a traditional bilum weaving technique which is a knotless weave using a single needle. The fibre itself is made from local plants, dried in the sun, pulled and rolled into a continuous string.
