These gold dipped Altair earrings by Milena Zu represent perfectly her usual mix of edginess and elegance.

Italian jewellery designer Milena Zu, who now resides in Ubud, Bali, works with Balinese artisans. They are are masters in an ancient crocheting technique.  Each piece is completely woven by hand. These particular earrings are made with loosely woven, fine stainless steel wire. The shape of the earring is reminiscent of a south east Asian fishing basket. At the wide end of these cone shaped silver earrings. they have been plated in gold. It provides a beautiful contrast to the steely grey.
