These large hoops take the simple hoop design a step further with their play of pattern – without loosing any of their edgy elegance.

The hoop earrings are crocheted by hand using fine brass wire, then silver plated and oxidised to a warm grey colour.

The earrings are by Italian jewellery designer Milena Zu.  Milena resides in Indonesia where she works with local artisans who master this ancient crocheting technique. The hoops measure 65mm across and are approximately 25mm wide in the middle.
