Alison Jackson is a Canberra based silversmith, who graduated in 2008 from the ANU School of Art, Gold & Silversmithing Workshop.  She now has her own workshop space, Pocket Studio, a fully equipped silversmithing studio.  Here Alison runs her own full time practice as well as sharing her knowledge through a program of short courses.

Alison has strong technical skills, a creative vision and a passion for making jewellery, tableware and large scale creative installations.

She has exhibited nationally and internationally and has won a number of awards. Most recently she was the recipient of a 2016 Australia Council Grant and in 2015, Alison had a significant body of work acquired by Canberra Museum and Gallery for their permanent collection.

Alison has developed a highly successful production range of jewellery and tableware to compliment her one off work and combining fine hand-making skills with industrial processes, each product is crafted by hand in Alison’s workshop.

Driven by her love of traditional metalworking, Alison works in a range of metals including sterling silver, stainless steel and copper to handcraft elegant, distinct and timeless jewellery.

Alison Jackson works alongside her small creative team, based on the outskirts of Canberra, Australia.
